Title: DiMiTriSpice - Changa
Post by: DiMiTriSpice on August 08, 2011, 04:22 am
I’ve had a few questions regarding the Changa and wanted to expand upon the description given on Silk and offer the evolution of this psychedelic along with some of my personal experiences (at the risk of redundancy, and much thanks to Mr. CranE for the Intro, this is a repeat of the post in Rumor Mill).

Changa originated in Australia as an infusion of DMT (extracted, generally, from the many species of Acacia present on the continent) into a mixture of shredded Banisteriopsis caapi and select herbs chosen for their own unique psychosomatic properties and for flavor.  The principal behind this is akin to the synergistic effects of the South American brew Ayahuasca.  That is, certain tryptamines (such as DMT) cannot be metabolized orally without a selective MAO inhibitors like harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine, which, as luck would have it, occur naturally in a number of flora to include B. cappi.   Unlike traditional ayahuasca, however, this concoction is smoked, thus (as theory holds) perpetuates a longer and stranger experience than freebase D.

The problem with this, however, is that while natural sources such as B. cappi and Peganum harmala contain the desired beta-carbolines, they do not have a significant amount as to affect the experience vaporized in your preferred smoking apparatus (I prefer a bong).

So here’s what I did.  I extracted the harmala alkaloids from P. harmala (along, the yellow brick road, of course, with ample dimethyltryptamine) and infused it into a number of herbs, chosen for smooth smoke, expectorant qualities, and nice flavor. I played with it for a while, chose the right blend as it were, and found a nice balance (though balance here is a seven dimensional thing), and it is perfect.  But…

I must digress, for the moment to explain what brought this on.

First is a dear friend, lovely girl, bad crystal addiction.  She had psychological qualms with smoking anything out of glass (that wasn’t green and didn’t change colors). The second was the substance itself – pure D is a rough one for the uninitiated and without proper tools (ie. A nice vape, or a dmt machine, it’s a serious psychedelic). I wanted to destroy the world with hallucinogens, and one cannot accomplish this aim if the hallucinogen in question is likened to a visit to the kaleidoscopic dentist.  So here is what happened. In the strangest of places (and dare I say of countries), myself, my woman, and my partner, made a blend….

We wanted to smoke ayahuasca, delve into the deep biology of the planet and come back unharmed (or at least with scars we could be proud of).  It turned out much stranger and more beautiful than expected.

We assumed that the beta-carbolines in the extract would perpetuate the D.  We didn’t expect a different creature.  Deep colors, strange designs, morphing rolling patterns, a taste of a different planet and then with one more hit the planet itself.  This was something more than the spinning image of mother Aya coupled with her dark and smiling eyes (the crystal geometry of DMT coalesced into human form).  This was ourselves, the yawning shore we had heard of and had seen small glimpses of behind the curtain of our own humanity. This was something unique.

I say these things because I truly believe this is one of the best hallucinogens of our age. I have been exploring for years and have found nothing that compares to the rich, emotional, visual experience that changa provides. So for a year I’ve been introducing this to my friends and allies in Mexico, Central and South America, and have just recently sent a quantity to the states for my friends to enjoy.

It is my hope that all my fellows can see this as we have, or at least try and enjoy.  Talking to my partners, I’ve decided to post  ¼ grams for free (0.01 BC) on SR for our people to try.  I wish we could do more, but as it is now, we’re poor folk and need the rent (we really, actually do).  Please give us some props and help our cause.

Peace, love and discord.

I love it DiMiTriSpice! :D
Tell me what is the duration of a changa experience?
I've never had oit before and find it very interesting to say the least.

:D

In a normal pipe, try laying down .5g of high concentration salvia, and on top of that put  .1-.2g of DMT. A very pleasant, intense trip with dark colors and amazing visions. ~10 minutes long, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have tried smoking D with harmalas, but I just felt Very fuzzy after for a while and didn't think it affected my trip much at all, but YMMV :)

changa is the best way to smoke dmt.

when you smoke powder, you end up wasting a lot of it, at least that was the case 50% of the time because i never used an oil burner or anything.

i made some changa  once and it was the real deal. talk about one hitter quitters ;)

Hey DiMiTriSpice,

Just wondering if you could tell us more about your particular blend.
E.g. the proportions you use for any given gram.

Cheers.

Sure. The changa is approx. 33% DMT - infused using safe organic solvents.  We also add a large percentage of harmala alkaloids (we've found that the specific content is important), an herbal base which was chosen for it's expectorant qualities, along with 8 different herbs (such as Crataegus pubescens Kunth., and Sambucus mexicana Presl.). We preformed numerous bioassays on ourselves (still get a kick out of the phrase, first read in the early JOPS publications), and selected the right blend and flavor that uniquely complimented the D, but also our bong. Peace.

I had someone yesterday ask me about the first time I tried D. It was strange because a few things went through my head - much of which is unnecessary here because they deal with the context of the question - but I was in a place (and am still a little giddy about SR, and the fact that myself and my friends can speak openly about such topics), and looked at what I wrote and wanted to share it because in the place of things i thought it mattered.  Here's what i wrote:

Sure. I'll do my best. It's difficult to explain because dmt experiences
are richly connected to a persons own ethos and pathos - that is, its
not simply a visual experience, but an experience that involves the
dreams and psyche of the individual.  For me, when I take the first hit,
a vibration washes over me, beginning in my temples and then down
through my body - kind of a rhythmic pulse followed by visuals complex
patterns and designs (closed or open eyes, it doesn't matter, you'll
hallucinate regardless). The intensity picks up on my second hit -
bright colors and patterns, sometimes entities. The room shifts, or I
sink into the bed. There is something else too - a feeling of deep
syncronicity, like your connected to everything - each breath and
thought, every rope of energy or spinning design - is inexorably tied to
you and tied to everything else. Then the third, and this is where it
really changes for me. Time slows. Everything in your plane of vision
goes crystalline, three dimensions turn to four, then seven, and then
I'm gone. It is different, at this point, with each experience I've had.
Sometimes I am greeted by a woman, an archetypal mother figure bathed in
green energy, a coalescing pattern that is an entity as much as an idea.
Sometimes I find myself on a beach, or distant shore. Twice, I've had
serious out of body experiences where I've felt myself pulled out of
corporal reality and watched my body from a distance. And sometimes it
is smurf village, where plants and mushrooms and running creatures take
up the space. There's a pretty good movie called 'Enter the Void,' which
is one of the best examples (though toned down to say the least) of a
dmt trip I've come across. It's here -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Mb3mssgPhw.

My advice is to do your research - don't just take my word for it.
There's a lot of good info in Erowid and DMT nexus. DMT is fun, but I
wouldn't call it a recreational substance. I use it therapeutically to
clear my mind, better arrange or come to terms with issues, or simply
get out of a strange or hard mental space. I liken it to dreams, where
your subconscious mind acts as an instrument to reorganize and fix your
conscious. Always stay safe and know what your getting into.

ps- changa, on the other hand, is recreational. i would recommend changa
before pure d. you are going to have a softer experience but still
mind-blowing visuals and it's easy to smoke.

I delete the rest of the page because it is a response, but I thought it was cool and wanted to share.

Peace.

Interesting.
As a general rule of thumb, would you say getting 10 hits from a gram of Changa sounds about right?

Yes, as a general rule 10-12 hits, depending on your smoking method. Using a bong is absolute madness - a madness which I highly recommend.  8)
